Catering students had a conference meeting today on 16th October,2023of house keeping. They have been discussing about the increase, effects and solutions for child abuse and they have discussed about the following.
Causes of child abuse.
Poverty in some families that result in family neglect.
Child neglect is failure to provide adequate food clothings and shelter.
Sexual abuse most especially among the youth due to lack of basic needs.
Stress that is financial pressure, medical problems and caring for a family member with a disability.
Drug abuse and that is the misuse of drugs that is taking too much alcohol.
Effects of child abuse.
Impact on families,As we as the impact of abuse and neglect on the child themselves their family can also be affected with family member s.
Effects on future well being, research shows that children who have suffered abuse are more likely to have lower educational attainment and suffer from drug and alcohol.
Children can have direct physical effects such as cuts, broken bones,health problems or even death.
Solutions to the problems.
Educate yourself and others about the causes and problems that result from child abuse.
Reach children their rights in order to avoid child abuse.
Examine your behavior.
Know the signs that may result in to child abuse.
Volunteer your time.
